You know these struggles
The cake brief scattered across 30 messages
The flavor on Monday, the design photo on Wednesday, the name "Kevin, no sorry, Kévin with the accent" on Friday. When it's time to bake, you scroll through three days of chat praying you didn't miss anything.
The cake nobody came for
Three tiers, pink frosting, "Happy birthday Aïcha" piped on top. Ordered without a deposit, never picked up, impossible to sell to anyone else. Twelve hours of work and the ingredients, gone.
Impossible last-minute orders
"I need a cake for 30 people... for tomorrow morning." You refuse and the customer takes offense, or you accept and pull an all-nighter. Nobody knows your lead times because they're written nowhere.
Birthdays forgotten, customers gone
The mom who ordered her daughter's 5th birthday cake will come back for the 6th... if she remembers you. Without a customer file, every birthday is a sale you have to win back from scratch.

Your customer's journey, for real
- 1
Nadia wants a cake for her son's 7th birthday, football theme, next Saturday. A colleague shares your pastry shop's WhatsApp link.
- 2
She browses your gallery, spots a football jersey cake at 25,000 FCFA for 15 servings, and starts the order: chocolate flavor, "Happy birthday Yann", pickup Saturday 10am.
- 3
The summary shows with the 50% deposit. She pays 12,500 FCFA via Orange Money right in the chat. The order flips to "confirmed" in your weekly schedule.
- 4
Friday evening she gets the reminder: "Your cake is waiting tomorrow at 10am". On Saturday she pays the balance at pickup, photographs the cake from every angle and tags you in her story.
- 5
Eleven months later, Nadia gets your message: "Yann's 8th birthday is coming up!". She reorders without even shopping around.
Frequently asked questions
What lead time should I require for custom cakes?
You decide, and Fiitsa enforces it: for example 72 hours minimum for a decorated cake, one week for a wedding cake. The form won't accept a pickup date earlier than your lead time, so no more painful haggling over a cake "for tomorrow".
How does the deposit work on big cakes?
You set your percentage, often 50% for custom cakes, and the order only enters your schedule once the deposit is paid via Mobile Money. The balance is settled at pickup or through a second payment link sent the day before.
My customers send design photos found online. How does that work?
They can attach their reference photo directly in the order form, along with change requests. You reply with your price for that exact design, and everything stays attached to the order instead of floating loose in the chat.
I also sell daily pastries over the counter. Is that compatible?
Yes. Alongside the custom cake flow, you have a daily pastry catalog: éclairs, tartlets, cupcakes, ordered and paid instantly for same-day pickup. Two flows, one WhatsApp shop.
What if a customer wants to change her order after the deposit?
She messages you in the same conversation, you adjust the order and price if needed, and the updated summary is sent back to her. You can set a clear cutoff, for example no changes within 48 hours of pickup, displayed at order time.
How do I bring customers back year after year?
Every order keeps the event date on file. Eleven months after Yann's 7th birthday cake, his mom automatically gets a message about the 8th. A birthday comes back every year: now, so does your customer.
